Mood Disorders with Dr. Casey

Dr. David Casey discusses mood disorders for the internist including major depressive disorder, dysthymic disorder, bipolar disorder, suicidality as well as differential diagnoses such as bereavement and endocrinopathies. He also delves into treatment for refractory depression including electroconvulsive therapy and repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation. 


David Casey, MD

Dr. Casey is an Associate Professor at the University of Louisville in the division of Psychiatry. He also serves as the Senior Vice Chair and Head of Clinical Services for the Department of Psychiatry.  He received training at University of Louisville and University of Washington Schools of Medicine. His special interest is geriatric psychiatry, psychiatry history, and psychiatric medical education.
